Fantasy Premier League - Game Week 1

The Fantasy Premier League is nearly upon us. We take a look at the best picks for GW1 including Aubameyang & Saint-Maximim.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£12m)

Auba is our choice of captain for the opening weekend of fantasy premier league. The Arsenal talisman netted 22 times in the league last season and comes up against a newly promoted Fulham side. The last time Fulham were in the Premier League, they conceded 81 goals and will not be relishing facing the Gabon striker.

Kasper Schmeichel (£5.5m)

Leicester will be looking to bounce back from their capitulation at the end of last season and come up against a West Brom side whose top goalscorers in the Championship last season have struggled in the Premier League before. A clean sheet should be a formality for the Dane this week.

Trent Alexander Arnold (£7.5m)

The Reds begin their defence of the Premier League title against a Leeds side who like to attack. Marcelo Bielsa will not let his side sit back which could suit Liverpool and their assist king TAA. Last season, Trent made 13 assists in the league and will be looking for a quick start again.

Allan Saint-Maximin (£5.5m)

West Ham are in a state of turmoil at the moment following fan and player anger at the sale of Grady Diangana to West Brom. Newcastle will be confident of inflicting more pain and will be looking for Saint-Maximin to link up with new striker Callum Wilson and we are backing a strong start for the Magpies.

Timo Werner (£9.5m)

You just have to look at Werner’s numbers for RB Leipzig last season to justify this pick. 28 league goals, and 1 for Germany in last week’s Nations League tie with Spain, will give the German hitman confidence going into his first season for Chelsea. The Blues face a short trip to Brighton first up and will be determined to improve on the 1-1 draw last time out.

Matheus Pereira (£6m)

West Brom face a tough first game at home to Leicester, but with Ben Chilwell’s departure, the Baggies will be hopeful of causing the Foxes a few problems. To do that, they will need their Brazilian playmaker to be on form. Pereira was a class act in the Championship last term, scoring 8 goals and producing a massive 16 assists.
