Fantasy Premier League Teams Tips

Welcome to the second round of our Pick, Watch & Avoid series. The only place for your fantasy premier league teams tips. Take a look at our FPL expert picks from Crystal Palace to Leicester.

Crystal Palace

Top Pick

Jordan Ayew (£6m)

When you say Crystal Palace, people immediately think Zaha. However, the under rated Ayew scored twice as many as Zaha last season. He also scored more fantasy points than anyone except Guaita for the Eagles. A snip at £6m.

One to Watch

Luka Milivojevic (£6m)

The Serb didn’t have the best of seasons last year, scoring just 3 goals. However, he is the penalty and set piece taker and if Palace do well, he should do too. In 2018/19, he scored a hugely impressive 12 goals. Albeit most of those goals were penalty’s.

Avoid at all costs

Christian Benteke (£5.5)

Benteke has not had the best of times at Palace, or ever since leaving Aston Villa for that matter. With even more competition for places, Palace signed Eberechi Eze from QPR, the Belgian’s chances are likely to be limited. With only 6 goals in 3 seasons, we can’t see Roy Hodgson putting much faith in him.

Top Pick

Lucas Digne (£6m)

For a defender, £6m is a bit on the expensive side. However, Digne has real ability. The Frenchman produced 7 assists last season and will be looking to add more goals this time around. If he can get on free kick duty, expect him to bag a couple.

One to Watch

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7m)

This is a huge season for the 23 year old. He should be the Toffees first choice target man and will be looking to improve upon his 13 goals last term. With the addition of James Rodriguez, Calvert-Lewin will be confident of getting the service needed to fire Everton to greater heights.

Avoid at all costs

Bernard (£6m)

While the little Brazilian has bags of ability and flair, he may find his chances limited. Everton are stacked with midfielders and wingers. Bernard will be up against Rodriguez, Sigurdsson, Walcott, Iwobi, Davies and more. We feel he will be the one to miss out.

Top Pick

Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6m)

There can be only one pick here. Mitrovic scored 26 goals in the Championship to help fire Fulham back to the Premier League at the first attempt. He also scored 11 times in his last Premier League season, despite Fulham being relegated.

One to Watch

Marek Rodak (£4.5m)

A gamble, of course, to put a goalkeeper in for a team who conceded 81 goals the last time they were in the Premier League. However, he repaid Scott Parker’s faith last season by keeping 14 clean sheets and helping Fulham to play off victory.

Avoid at all costs

Jean Michael Seri (£5m)

Seri had a high reputation when Fulham first signed him. However, he never really lived up to the hype. Seri spent last season on loan with Galatasaray, who refused to take up their option to buy. Seri is likely to pick up bookings too, if he makes it on the pitch.

Top Pick

Rodrigo (£6m)

A huge signing for the Championship winners. Rodrigo had a disappointing season for Valencia, but has huge ability and should suit Bielsa’s style of play. Leeds fans will be excited to see a player who has scored 8 goals in 23 games for Spain.

One to Watch

Jack Harrison (£5.5m)

Leeds have extended Harrison’s loan from Man City for a 3rd consecutive season and it’s easy to see why. His contributions from the wing were huge for the Whites gaining promotion at long last and he should be a handful for many full backs in the Premier League.

Avoid at all costs

Kiko Casilla (£4.5m)

Difficult to choose given Leeds excellent displays in the Championship. However, it is probably wise to avoid a goalkeeper who is prone to the odd error. Leeds’ defensive record was excellent last season, but they may struggle against a step up in opposition.

Top Pick

Kasper Schmeichel (£5.5m)

With the Foxes having lost Ben Chilwell this season, and Harry Maguire the year before, they will be relieved to still have this Great Dane in goal. Schmeichel has been one of the best stoppers in the Premier League in the last few years, a safe bet to go for.

One to Watch

Harvey Barnes (£7m)

The 22 year old winger had a superb breakthrough season last year, making 36 appearances, scoring 6 and providing 8 assists. Under the tutelage of Brendan Rodgers, Barnes has a great opportunity to add to that and his 133 points last season.

Avoid at all costs

Marc Albrighton (£5.5m)

Albrighton has been a fine servant to Leicester, but his appearances have been dwindling year by year. At 30 years old, he may find himself on the fringes of the squad, with the likes of Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez and Demarai Gray ahead in the pecking order.
