Fantasy Team Of The Week - GW2

GW2 was a record breaking week for goals scored and our fantasy players have benefited hugely. We take a look back at the best performers this week including, Alisson, Son, Mane & Kane in our Fantasy Team of the Week.

Goalkeeper

Alisson – Liverpool (£6m) – 14 pts

The Champions gained an impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday. Their Brazilian stopper achieved points through a clean sheet, penalty save and save bonus.

Defenders

Ezri Konsa – Aston Villa (£4.5m) – 15 pts

Villa kicked off their season with a 1-0 win over Sheffield United. The winner came through centre back Konsa, who also picked up points for the clean sheet.

Tyrone Mings – Aston Villa (£5m) – 15 pts

Joining Konsa is his centre back partner Mings. The England international also gained 4 points through Villa’s clean sheet and he assisted Konsa for the winner.

Timothy Castagne – Leicester (£5.5m) – 9 pts

A second week in a row that new Foxes full back Castagne has made it into team of the week. This week, it was 2 assists against Burnley that gave the Belgian the bulk of his points.

Midfielders

Son Heung Min – Tottenham Hotspur (£9m) – 24 pts

An incredible game for Spurs’ Korean winger. 4 goals against Southampton meant that Son was the highest scoring player in the League this week.

Sadio Mane – Liverpool (£11.9m) – 16 pts

The Senegalese superstar scored twice for the Reds against Chelsea. The first was a well worked goal and the second he has his hard work and Kepa to thank for.

Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace (£7.1m) – 15 pts

Zaha continued his good start to the season by showing Man United what they missed out on by not giving him a chance at Old Trafford. Zaha scored twice against United in a shock 3-1 win.

Helder Costa – Leeds (£5.6m) – 14 pts

Leeds won a thriller against Fulham with midfielder Costa contributing 2 goals as the Whites won 4-3. He also achieved an extra 2 bonus points.

Strikers

Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur (£10.5m) – 22 pts

Son may have been Spurs goal scoring hero this week, but it was England captain Kane who set him up for every goal. He then rounded off the game with a goal of his own.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Everton (£7.2m) – 17 pts

In the weekend’s opening game, Calvert-Lewin hit a hat trick against West Brom. Adding to his winner against Spurs, it has been an impressive start for the Toffees striker who must be due an England call up.

Neal Maupay – Brighton (£6.5m) – 16 pts

Maupay hit a brace within 7 minutes for Brighton to put them well on their way to an impressive away win at Newcastle. The striker then assisted Aaron Connolly late on in a 3-0 win.
