FPL Team Of The Week - GW6

This week's highest scoring players.

FPL Team Of The Week - GW6

We take a look back at the best performers this week including, Zouma, Son & Bamford in our FPL Team of the Week – GW6.

Kasper Schmeichel – Leicester (£5.5m) – 10 pts

A clean sheet and 3 bonus points means the Danish number one takes the goalkeeper spot this week. Schmeichel made 4 saves against Arsenal in the Foxes 1-0 win.

Kurt Zouma – Chelsea (£5.1m) – 9 pts

Chelsea drew 0-0 at Old Trafford, meaning Chelsea’s whole defence are in contention for TOTW. Zouma gained 3 bonus points to make his way into the side.

Reece James – Chelsea (£5m) – 8 pts

The second Chelsea defender in the side is right back James. The England youngster has been in decent form this season for Chelsea and helped them to a clean sheet against Man United.

Robin Koch – Leeds (£4.5m) – 8 pts

Bielsa’s Leeds side were in scintillating form on Friday night, handing Aston Villa their first defeat of the season. Koch helped the Whites to a clean sheet in the process.

Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace (£7.3m) – 13 pts

A goal and an assist for Zaha was enough to be the 2nd highest points scorer this week. Zaha has gone under the radar this season but now has 5 goals and an assist for Palace.

James Ward-Prowse – Southampton (£5.8m) – 11 pts

Saints midfielder Ward-Prowse got his side off to a great start against Everton with a stunning strike. He then helped Hasenhuttl’s men dominate the league leaders in an impressive 2-0 win.

Son Heung Min – Tottenham (£9.5m) – 11 pts

We may as well give Son his own season ticket in TOTW as his winner against Burnley ensures another week in the side. The goal, Spurs’ clean sheet and 3 bonus points gave Son his 11 this week.

Jacob Murphy – Newcastle (£4.9m) – 9 pts

There were a few players on 9 points who could’ve made the TOTW, but we’re going with Murphy for his stunning free-kick to earn the Magpies a very good point away to Wolves.

Patrick Bamford – Leeds (£5.9m) – 17 pts

Yes, Bamford scored a hat trick and yes, I had him on my bench. Those pesky Friday deadlines got me, but it was hard not to admire the Leeds man’s performance in their 3-0 win at Villa. His hat trick included a thunderbolt from 20 yards out as he inflicted a first defeat of the season on Aston Villa.

Danny Ings – Southampton (£8.5m) – 10 pts

Usually, Ings is doing all the scoring for Saints, but this week he was in the mood for assists. 2 assists to be precise, as he set up Ward-Prowse and strike partner Che Adams in a dominant performance against Everton.

Karlan Grant – West Brom (£6m) – 9 pts

Like before, there are a few players who earned 9 points this week in the forward position. We’re giving the spot to the young striker for West Brom, who’s goal earned the Baggies a useful point at Brighton.
